Let’s just say I wish I could be a rat sneaking in their fridge every night. I close my eyes, eat, and thank the universe I ran across this restaurant every single time. It’s been years since I’ve had some down home good soul food. Never liked Mac n cheese but I definitely love it from Tubby’s. People are so friendly, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. 1000/10P.S. DON’T STOP HERE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO GET HOOKED ON THE FOOD

Ordered the one piece catfish, Mac and collard greens, all were delicious!! Will definitely be coming back as often as I can.

Tubby’s is seriously a hidden gem in Midland! The food is spectacular! Catfish is perfectly fried and moist on the inside. Hand battered shrimp was out of this world! Collards were perfectly seasoned and even the tartar and cocktail sauce tasted homemade! The portions are ridiculously generous! The service was top notch! I’ll definitely be back.

Top notch service and food, from the lemonade to the catfish was amazing. Can’t get better soul food than this. 4 people could have ate off my plate. Very generous portions, home made food with good prices. I will be back!!

The candied yams were sweet, buttery, and tasted like something straight from Grandma’s kitchen. The macaroni? Creamy, cheesy, and baked just right. And don’t even get me started on the lemonade—fresh, tangy, and the perfect balance to all that richness.Honestly, this is some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life. TUBBY's was an EXCELLENT Soul Food Restaurant. A hidden gem. The pork chops, was so delicious with broccoli and cheese. The fish was fried hard, golden brown to perfection. The fried green tomatoes and Kool-aid, OMG. The staff is super friendly. Thanks Tubby's from thr Corpus Christi, TX gang.

Wonderful experience with super friendly service! I loved the ox tail plater with 3 sides. I wish I lived closer, so I can go in as a regular customer.

This is not just soul food it's awesome home cooked hot and fresh food.More places in this town need to take a page out there book.
